The annex  formally housed horses and carts for the house and still retains many characteristic features such as the narrow winding stairs,  horse height tack room mirror ( too high to use) and traditional beams.

 

There is a fully equipped kitchen, lounge area with double Slumber land sofa bed ( with mattress topper) and a twin bedded room upstairs with an en-suite shower room. It offers a flat screen TV television, video, freeview, DVD/CD/Radio.  The twin beds can be  offered separately for children or together as a superking for adults. However it is not recommended this way for persons over 5'10" due to the characteristic sloping ceilings.


Towels, bed linen, tea, coffee, chocolate and condiments are included . For self catering bookings electricity is charged at a rate of 15p per unit.  A breakfast hamper is supplied with bread/cereals/hot and cold drinks on request or with bookings through laterooms as a family room


On arrival you will have tea/coffee & homemade biscuits or cakes waiting for you. We also have a list of homemade meals and desserts are available for you to put in the oven whilst relaxing with a glass of wine. A full list is at the foot of the page



Harmony Cottage is situated a short drive to the south of York's centre and has a regular bus service from the village to York or Selby. There is a park and ride service at the Designer Outlet 5 minutes drive from the village. It is within easy access of all major trunk roads and motorways to the East, West, North and South without using the busy York roads.

 

It is ideal for 4 friends or a family provided they are happy to share the shower room and toilet accessed through the bedroom
